Hunter in court for mistreatment of his eight dogs

The dogs were found emaciated in two electrified enclosures, without water, in the middle of excrement, sometimes carrion for one of them. A hunter from the town of Aiguefonde, in the Tarn, has an appointment this Monday before the Castres police court to answer for the “deprivation of care” of which his eight animals were victims.

The complaint was filed by the Stéphane Lamart association “For the defense of animal rights”, of which an investigator is at the origin of the first report of this case of animal abuse in December 2020.

Residents also alerted the gendarmerie, especially when in February 2021, dogs began to devour the corpse of a fellow animal. At the last intervention, in April 2021, there were only five dogs left. They suffered from “purulent conjunctivitis, ear infections and skin infections”, denounces the association, a civil party to the trial.
