Hugo Lloris has a hole, Arsenal flies a little more

It was a derby that he probably imagined differently, a few days after announcing the end of a very rich international career in the France team. Already crushed by some consultants on January 1 when he had badly appreciated a long shot against Aston Villa, Hugo Lloris went through again on Sunday during Spurs’ defeat against Arsenal (0-2).

The now former captain of the Blues has also managed a great game, multiplying the decisive parades to avoid his team an even more humiliating disappointment, but the general public will only remember his peach skin gloves on a desperate center shot from Saka at the start of the game. The ball was coming fast, sure, but the Spurs keeper had far better things to do than deflect it into his own goal.

It is doubted, however, that this pellet has changed much at the bottom of the case. Vastly superior, Arsenal were destined to win and take an 8-point lead over City almost halfway through the season. It’s getting serious.
