A first trailer provides insights into Chuck Lorre’s new series project “How to Be a Bookie” with Hollywood scandal noodle Charlie Sheen.
The fact that star producer Chuck Lorre (71) and Hollywood scandal noodle Charlie Sheen (58) are working together again was one of the sensational news of this film year. With wild drug escapades and insults, Sheen got himself kicked out as the lead actor in the comedy cult series “Two and a Half Men” in 2011 – now he is returning in Lorre’s new series project “How to Be a Bookie” alongside comedian Sebastian Maniscalco (50). back. On Wednesday it was a first trailer for it has been released.
Comedy action with strange dialogues
As the trailer makes clear from the first second, viewers of “How to Be a Bookie” can expect exciting comedy action that relies on absurd situational comedy and strange dialogues. The main character of the series is the bookie Danny (Sebastian Maniscalco), who specializes in illegal sports betting and has to fear for the future of his business when it becomes known that California wants to legalize sports betting.

His bizarre clientele includes a shady actor named Charlie Sheen, who routinely impersonates himself in the series. Together with his friend Ray (Omar J. Dorsey, 47), a former NFL player, his sister Lorraine (Vanessa Ferlito, 42) and the involuntarily reformed drug dealer Hector (Jorge Garcia, 50), Danny has to deal with numerous other crazy customers .
“How to Be a Bookie” will premiere on November 30th on the streaming service Max with two episodes. Two more episodes will be broadcast every Thursday until the season finale on December 21st.
