Ghostface the killer has not finished his carnage. “I think Ghostface’s popularity is because he could be anyone,” says Melissa Barrera. What amuses people and makes the franchise successful is trying to figure out who he is. A popular killer
Ghostface’s appearance is also familiar even to people who haven’t seen any of the films. “He is easily recognizable, insists Jenna Ortega and his cheap Halloween costume can be easily imitated. Every Halloween, Ghostfaces swarm the streets around the world, which directors use to their advantage to make people shiver. “I’ve been in the franchise for so long that when I come across a Ghosface in real life when I go out for Halloween with my daughter Coco, it really makes me happy. I even say hello to her,” admits Courteney Cox.
A happiness shared by the spectators of Scream VI who are not deprived of the appearance of a killer so highly appreciated by the performers of the film. “I’ll be back for a new episode if it’s with the same team,” admits Melissa Barrera. Courteney Cox and Jenna Ortega temper her enthusiasm. “Still, we should be able to do it because it all depends on who survived the end of this sixth film. It doesn’t take a fortune teller to predict that the only one who will still be around is Ghostface himself, who has wielded the knife since 1996 to the horror of his fans.
