At her first press conference as head of the film festival in April 2012, Diana Iljine spoke of the “dream job of my life”. She told the journalists how she worked as a ticket puller during her studies and later helped with the guest relations at the festival. From now on she would greet the stars as director on the red carpets. This summer, eleven years later, she will do so for the last time. And I’m sure she’ll explain the correct pronunciation of her last name here and there: “like Alien, only with an I”.
