Hotspot Ebersberg: Incidence rises to over 1000 – Ebersberg

The district of Ebersberg would probably like to do without this top position: it is again one of the Bavarian districts with the highest seven-day incidence. The number exceeded 1000 for the first time on Thursday: The Robert Koch Institute put the value for the Ebersberg district at 1032.7. Only the district of Dachau with an incidence of 1076.0 has a higher value in the Free State, the district of Bad Tölz/Wolfratshausen follows behind Ebersberg with an incidence of 1015.5. The Bavarian average of 665.4 is clearly exceeded.

Within the district, the municipality of Baiern has by far the highest incidence, the value here is 2320.95. Other small communities also stand out, such as Frauenneuharting, where the incidence is 1583.28. However, the value is not very meaningful, especially in small communities, where individual cases cause the numbers to skyrocket. In Bavaria, for example, nine new cases were registered on Thursday, and there have been 35 cases in the past seven days. But the numbers are also increasing significantly in the cities.

In the district town, the incidence was 1162.70 on Thursday, with 33 new cases reported here. A new infection has been detected in 142 Ebersbergers within the past seven days. The numbers in Grafing are even slightly higher, where the incidence is 1202.46. 41 new cases were reported here on Thursday, 166 within the past seven days. The situation is currently somewhat relaxed in Egmating, where the incidence was 339.27, and Moosach with an incidence of 530.86.

The number of second vaccinations exceeds that of the first vaccinations

A total of 365 new infections were reported in the district on Thursday, more than ever in one day. In the Ebersberg district clinic, the situation remains relatively calm compared to the delta wave. 14 patients with Covid 19 disease are currently being treated, one of them in the intensive care unit.

Not long ago, the fact that the incidence exceeded 1000 would also have meant new restrictions for the county, but hotspot rules remain suspended for now. In cities and districts with an incidence of more than 1000, restaurants, hotels and sports and cultural facilities have had to close, and leisure, sports and cultural events have also been banned. The cabinet wants to discuss how to proceed with local hotspots shortly.

The district office registers an interesting phenomenon with vaccinations. 100,728 people in the Ebersberg district received a first vaccination, and 100,901 people received a second vaccination – the number of second vaccinations thus exceeded the number of first vaccinations in the district. According to the conclusion of the district office, this shows “that the numerous low-threshold vaccination offers in the district of Ebersberg are not only accepted by the citizens of the district, but also by those of other districts”.
