Four-star superior, that sounds like a house with first-class service and a high level of comfort. But for hotel manager Alexandra Radwan, the beautiful title couldn’t outweigh the fact that she felt cramped. Together with the owner of the house, she decided in 2018 to unscrew the golden sign with the stars in front of the entrance door and to no longer have the Hotel Prinzregent in Munich Riem classified by the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga). “In our opinion, many points in the classification no longer fit together with an innovative hotel industry,” says Radwan.
