No, you wouldn’t be able to score points in New York with “Motel” in the name, that was clear. There are thousands of motels in the USA, flat functional buildings on the country road. You take the nearest one on the way, park your car directly in front of your room door and otherwise have little expectations. With the decision of the German Motel One Group to venture into New York, a new name was needed. The Cloud One is the name of the 326-room property that opened in December 2022 in the Financial District in the south of Manhattan. And this is now the beginning of a new chapter for the company.
