Yes, you read that right: Aperol can be used to create a delicious drink not only in summer, but also in winter. But in contrast to the refreshing Aperol Spritz, the Hot Aperol is served warm. We have summarized for you below exactly how to prepare the trendy drink of the winter and what ingredients are needed for it.

Winter recipe idea: Hot Aperol

These ingredients are needed for two glasses of Hot Aperol:

  • 250 ml white wine (dry)
  • 100ml Aperol
  • 200 ml apple juice
  • 1 orange (organic)

This is how you prepare the hot trendy drink correctly:

  1. Heat the white wine together with the Aperol and the apple juice in a saucepan without boiling the contents for a maximum of ten minutes.
  2. In the meantime, wash the unsprayed orange, then halve it and cut both halves into thin slices.
  3. Add half of the orange slices to the now warm pot that is still on the (switched off) stove.
  4. Divide the remaining slices between two glasses and then pour the finished Hot Aperol over them – you’ll have it!

By the way: To the following Garnish Depending on your taste, hot drinks include cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices, mint leaves or even rosemary sprigs. The drink gets a Christmas note with a pinch of cinnamon or cardamom.

You can have the Hot Aperol too non-alcoholic Serve by simply replacing the white wine with light grape juice or pear juice and the Aperol with orange syrup (approx. 50 ml).

  1. Mix the white wine with the elderflower syrup in a saucepan.
  2. Wash the lime and then rub the peel.
  3. Add the peel and the squeezed lime juice to the pot.
  4. Heat the pot on the stove without bringing the contents to a boil.
  5. Divide the hot Hugo evenly between two glasses.
  6. Finally, garnish the glasses with the mint leaves.
