Sébastien Cauet, accused by several young women of rape and sexual assault, was placed in police custody this Thursday morning, we learned 20 minutes with his lawyers. “He went freely, and at his request, to the investigation services to be able to answer, point by point, all the questions asked,” specify his lawyers Me Xavier Autain and Me Simon Clémenceau.
At least five young women have filed complaints against the 52-year-old host. “As he has been asking for many months, Sébastien Cauet is currently being interviewed by investigators for the facts he is accused of, which the press has reported on and which he contests,” specifies the press release from his lawyers. The investigations were entrusted to the minor protection brigade of the Parisian PJ.

At the same time, Cauet himself filed complaints for attempted extortion, slanderous denunciation and harassment with the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office, in Hauts-de-Seine.
Employed by NRJ for five years, the host has no longer been on the air since the end of November 2023 due to the accusations against him. Despite legal action before the commercial court, Sébastien Cauet remains, to this day, suspended by the NRJ group.
