Homosexual employees at BVG discriminated against: because we love you? – Business

Every third homosexual employee in Germany still experiences discrimination. The case of the Berlin transport company shows how deep the problems can be. But it is precisely those who advertise with their openness.

How much does the Berlin transport company value diversity? A swarm of colorful human bodies is supposed to provide the answer. “A model of your diversity,” the BVG promises its passengers. Her slogan: “Because we love you”. She wants to introduce new seat cushions with a diversity motto on all buses and subways this year – just as “a token of our love”. The generous advertising message of the largest German transport company is: “We move all of Berlin”. Regardless of “age, gender, origin, body shape, physical mobility, religion” or of course “sexual orientation”. The only problem is: in the company itself, those affected feel very little of it.
