Bradley Cooper became a comedy star as the hard-partying teacher Phil in “The Hangover.” The actor said he would like to be involved in another installment of the film series. But that probably won’t happen.

Hollywood star Bradley Cooper, who plays famous conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein in the biopic drama “Maestro,” would direct another installment of the bawdy “Hangover” series. He would probably get involved in “Hangover 4” straight away, said the 48-year-old actor and director in the podcast “The New Yorker Radio Hour”. Cooper justified this by saying that he loves “The Hangover” director Todd Phillips and co-stars Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms “so much.”

Under the direction of Phillips, the trio and Justin Bartha appeared in front of the camera in 2009, 2011 and 2013 for the cult slapstick series with drinking bouts and crude jokes. Cooper played the hard-partying teacher Phil and became a comedy star. In 2018 he caused a sensation with his directorial debut “A Star is Born”. He also played the lead role alongside Lady Gaga in the gripping romantic drama.

Cooper, who is currently on a promotional tour for “Maestro,” admitted in the podcast interview that there probably won’t be a “Hangover 4.” He doesn’t think director Phillips would be willing to do that.

After many comedy appearances, Cooper is equally enthusiastic about his serious character roles. Nothing was more fun than his experiences with “Maestro” and “A Star is Born,” Cooper assured in the interview.

The Netflix-produced drama “Maestro,” which Cooper also directed, tells of the marriage between Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990) and his wife Felicia Montealegre Bernstein (1922-1978), played by Carey Mulligan.
