Fritz Wepper thrilled millions of viewers for decades. Now ARD is honoring the late actor over the holidays – and showing him again in his successful roles.

After the death of the popular actor Fritz Wepper, ARD changes its holiday program on Good Friday. On March 29th, Das Erste will show the crime comedy “Lindburgs Fall” with Wepper in the lead role at 3:20 p.m. and immediately afterwards the last two episodes of the series “For Heaven’s Sake,” ARD announced in the afternoon.

With the role of Mayor Wöller in the nun series “For Heaven’s Sake,” Wepper played his way into the hearts of an audience of millions.

The programs with Wepper on Good Friday replace the family comedies “A Houseboat to Fall in Love with” from 2009 and “The Wöhler Family in Mallorca” from 2019.

Already on Monday evening (March 25th), a 15-minute obituary (BR) was included in the program of the first: “Fritz Wepper – The Marathon Man”. The film “Murder in the Best Company – Winter’s Last Case” with Fritz Wepper was then scheduled to be broadcast at 11:05 p.m.
