Holiday ranking 2022: These are the most popular travel destinations in the world

We Germans like to travel a lot. An inspiration for the next trip could be the Travellers’ Choice Award. Based on millions of reviews, the travel portal Tripadvisor publishes a list of the most popular destinations worldwide every year. Dubai is number 1 in this year’s ranking, closely followed by London in second place and third on the podium, Cancún in Mexico. Last year Bali was still enthroned in the top spot – this year it was only fourth place. Fifth place: the Greek holiday island of Crete. In addition to the most popular travel destinations worldwide, the most popular vacation spots in Europe were also listed. On the podium are London in 1st place, Crete in second place and Rome in 3rd place. Istanbul and Paris are in 4th and 5th place. German cities are not represented in the top 10.
