“Holesky” Ethereum Testnet Unable to Launch After a technical glitch

Ethereum developers failed to launch a new testnet network called “Holesky,” a technological milestone that was supposed to celebrate the first anniversary of the “Merge” upgrade.

Although some validators were able to manually start the Testnet network, there was still incorrect configuration in one of the network’s genesis files. According to the core developers of Ethereum

This resulted in Ethereum’s core developers deciding to delay the launch by another two weeks. This is to give them time to deal with the problem.

The Testnet network is used to simulate transactions and test applications before they are deployed on the mainnet, created by Ethereum developers. Holesky testnet It hopes to replace Goerli, the current blockchain testnet.

Goerli testnet is still available. Therefore, developers can still test their applications on the network. The developers plan to deprecate Goerli in early 2024.
