Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn – The multi-purpose hall is being renovated – District of Munich

The municipality of Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn is investing 4.3 million euros in the renovation of its multi-purpose hall. When work starts next year, the sports and events venue will be closed for around six months. In order to create alternative options for clubs and groups during this time, the town hall will speak to neighboring communities, Mayor Mindy Konwitschny (SPD) announced in the municipal council. In addition, the association will be asked about the sports halls in the secondary schools.

The refurbishment package that the municipal council decided on includes a number of measures – from replacing the glass facade to a new floor. According to the town hall, the aim is to make the hall “future-proof”, i.e. to renovate it energetically, to replace the building technology and to ensure fire protection. The costs of 4.3 million euros are higher than the 3.5 million euros set in the budget. However, in the meantime, new funding pots have opened up, reported Konwitschny. The municipality would therefore have a share of almost three million euros. However, it is not possible to predict what consequences the rising construction prices would have on costs.
