Despite all the restrictions and difficulties, the pandemic has also had a few positive effects that may even establish a nice tradition: These include the picnic concerts that the Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn brass band gave in the past summers. Numerous visitors regularly found themselves on the idyllic fairground in front of the Leonhardikirche in Siegertsbrunn to combine culinary and acoustic enjoyment beyond the obligation to wear masks or the great risk of infection. “What was so successful as a way out of the music-poor Corona period should also fill out the summer music break this year,” promises Ingrid Sepp from the brass band. This Friday, August 12th, the prelude will be blown. When the weather is good, the musicians will play a “cheerful sequence of pieces from their rich repertoire of light music” from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to the announcement. The organizers ask visitors to bring their own blankets or chairs and food. Admission to the picnic concert is free, donations are welcome.
