Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn – Gymnasium collects for Ukraine – District of Munich

The Gymnasium Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn is committed to helping those affected by the war in Ukraine in a variety of ways. According to the school management, donations were collected for the Ukrainian Boy Scout Association in Germany at benefit events such as concerts and theater performances. The school’s social work group collected donations through a cake baking campaign. In addition, schoolchildren collected donations in kind to benefit those who cannot or do not want to leave their homeland. Student representatives contacted the organization “Ukraine-Hilfe Riemerling/Ottobrunn” via the football club and the municipality of Hohenbrunn and agreed on a cooperation. Pupils and teachers from the Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn high school collected donations in kind over four days, which the aid organization will transport to the Ukraine and distribute there. Hygiene articles, non-perishable foodstuffs as well as baby and toddler articles were collected; a total of more than 20 moving boxes came together, with which two VW buses were packed. The donations are currently on their way to Kharkiv in the Ukraine.
