The barn in Oberschops burns down. The emergency services have to fight to get water.

There were three injured in the fire in an apartment in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn on Tuesday evening. The 69-year-old resident had to be treated in the clinic for burn injuries. Two neighbors who helped extinguish the fire were smoke inhaled. A barn also burned down in Aying early on Thursday morning. There any help came too late for five calves. There was significant property damage to the apartment near the Höhenkirchen train station. The police are currently checking whether it is still habitable. The barn of a farm in the Oberschops district of Ayingen collapsed and burned down completely. There were no injuries there, but the total damage is high: according to initial estimates, around 250,000 euros.
The police received an emergency call on Tuesday at around 9.15 p.m. that smoke was coming from an apartment in an apartment building on Haringstrasse and that a woman was calling for help. When the Siegertsbrunn fire brigade arrived there, according to Michael Deuter, who as group leader led a fire brigade during the operation, neighbors with garden hoses had already largely brought the fire under control. The 69-year-old resident suffered minor burns, according to the police. The 56-year-old neighbor and the 50-year-old neighbor could also have saved the woman’s cat from the apartment. While the 56-year-old was brought to the clinic for treatment for smoke inhalation, the 50-year-old refused to do so.
When the Helfendorf fire brigade came to the barn in Oberschops shortly after 2 a.m. that night, it was already in full fire. At the same time, residents near the 20 by six meter building were trying to get the flames under control on their own. But in vain. The alert level was raised and further emergency services were requested, whereby according to the report of the district fire inspection, the water supply had caused problems at the beginning of the extinguishing work. With the help of the advancing forces, a shuttle service was set up. Long hose lines would also have helped. The barn collapsed, however, and the five calves could no longer be saved due to the high heat.
Ten respiratory protection teams were on duty. At around 3.40 a.m., the operations management of the Helfendorfer fire brigade reported: “Fire out”. Fire brigades from Aying, Holzkirchen, Feldkirchen-Westerham, Glonn, Münster and Unterlaus provided support; also the ABC train Munich Land. The Munich Land Technical Relief Organization helped locate fire nests with a wheel loader. According to the 57-year-old owner, in addition to the calves, there was a wheel loader, work tools and large quantities of firewood and hay in the barn. The flames were prevented from spreading to other buildings, with the tarpaulin on the neighboring playpen already melting, according to the fire brigade. More than 151 emergency services were required for several hours.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing for both fires. The injured 69-year-old from Siegertsbrunn was admitted to the clinic as an inpatient. The apartment was inspected by experts from Police Headquarters Commissariat 53. In addition to the Siegertsbrunn fire brigade, the Höhenkirchen fire brigade and a first responder troop from Brunnthal were involved in the apartment fire.
