Hohenbrunn: Police stop overloaded cattle truck – district of Munich

The police stopped a cattle truck in Hohenbrunn that contained too many pigs. The vehicle was checked on Thursday night. It had a total weight of more than 47 tons – seven tons more than allowed, according to the traffic police. The 190 pigs therefore also had too little space: the minimum space requirement specified in the Animal Welfare Transport Ordinance was clearly undercut. A fine procedure was initiated against the driver and against the transport company from the Straubing district.
