Anton Hofreiter and Cem Özdemir are not necessarily the best of friends, there are good reasons to assume that. Hofreiter belongs to the left wing of the Greens, Özdemir to the Realos. Hofreiter would have liked to become Minister of Agriculture after the federal election – but Özdemir got the job. It is all the more astonishing that the two veteran Greens seem like allies in the days of the German farmers’ storm. This is not a good sign for the traffic light government.
