Disney is donating the third part

After the great success of “Hocus Pocus 2”: Disney announces a third part about the Sanderson sisters.
“Hocus Pocus 3” is coming. This was confirmed by Sean Bailey (53), head of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, in an interview with “New York Times“. A third part about the Sanderson sisters is being planned. In 2022, Bette Midler (77), Sarah Jessica Parker (58) and Kathy Najimy (66) returned after almost 30 years in their roles as “enchanting witches”.
It’s no surprise that Disney is making Hocus Pocus 3. Part two set a record when it launched on Disney+. 2.7 billion minutes are said to have been watched on the first weekend a year ago. No film from a streaming service has ever done more. Overall, “Hocus Pocus 2” was the fifth highest-grossing film by a video-on-demand provider in 2022.
Bette Midler would be ready
It is not yet known if Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy will return in their roles. At least Midler had last year in an interview with “Entertainment Weeklysignaled her readiness. She even said she could envision an entire franchise centered around the Sanderson sisters.
Producer Adam Shankman (58) also had opposite in 2022 “The Hollywood Reporters“talked about the possibility of offshoots. Whitney Peak (20) could be the focus. In “Hocus Pocus 2” she played the young Becca, who accidentally brought the three witches back to life.
“Hocus Pocus” was not a big hit in cinemas in 1993. Over the years, however, the film has developed into a beloved Halloween classic on (US) television.
