Hit by gunfire, a young man seriously injured

Gunshots rang out during the night from Monday to Tuesday in the Clémenceau district of Rennes. A little after 2 a.m., a 26-year-old young man was seriously injured by gunshots, we learned from the Rennes public prosecutor’s office. According to initial information, the victim, who lives at 140 boulevard Clémenceau, was hit “by at least two bullets” in front of his home. Shell casings were found on the ground by law enforcement.

Presenting wounds to his chest, leg and back, the young man was transported in absolute emergency to Pontchaillou University Hospital. His vital prognosis was then in jeopardy but his condition has since stabilized. An investigation, entrusted to the judicial police, was opened to shed light on this new shooting in the Breton capital.
