After the suicide blackmail incident during which he injured his chest, Kendji Girac is the object of all attention. From a close acquaintance of the singer, Paris Match learned that his partner Soraya had left France with their two-year-old daughter, the same day of the tragedy.

On April 22, everything changed for Kendji Girac. The French singer, star of the gypsy community, winner of “The Voice” in 2014, made headlines for his worrying state of health after a serious gunshot wound he allegedly inflicted on himself in the chest. Three days later, we learned that the singer had admitted to the police that he had used suicide blackmail in order to convince his partner, Soraya Miranda, not to leave him.

But at the time of the shooting, their 2 and a half year old daughter, Eva Alba, was also in the caravan. A detail that the singer’s partner would not have accepted: Soraya would have left the Biscarrosse camp with her daughter, the very morning of the tragedy, to return to her home in Switzerland. “She is in deep anger”, estimates an acquaintance of Kendji Girac from Paris Match. “She didn’t want to come see him in the hospital because she couldn’t stand his actions. She finds him irresponsible, endangering their daughter’s life. I don’t think she wants to have an explanation with him at the moment. »

A couple in full explosion

Well before the incident, things were no longer going well between Kendji Girac and Soraya. After ten years of love, little Eva Alba’s parents argued regularly, notably because of the singer’s penchant for alcohol. During her hearing, Soraya explained that her companion suffered from a “burgeoning addiction” to alcohol – at the time of the incident, he had 2.5 grams of alcohol per liter of blood. Someone who was just a “simple party animal” would now be a regular at “cooked” parties.

His health stabilized, Kendji must now devote himself to his long convalescence – 30 days of temporary interruption of work – at the Haut-Lévêque hospital in Pessac (Gironde).
