His farewell to the cocaine culture

Frédéric Beigbeder, the eternal enfant terrible of the French literary scene, has renounced cocaine. Publicly, full of melancholy, not without dignity.

Johanna Adorjan

The French writer Frédéric Beigbeder is known for not always having been sober in his 56-year life. In 2008, as everyone probably knows, he was arrested outside the Paris nightclub Le Baron after snorting cocaine from a parked car. Police found 2.6 grams of cocaine on him. He went straight (briefly) to prison.
