Sunday, around 9:30 a.m., a man aged around twenty was found dead below the Jonction trail by rescuers from the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) of Chamonix, in Haute-Savoie, reports France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
According to media information, the victim, accompanied by another hiker, was enjoying the landscape when she fell to her death, about a hundred meters. The emergency services, who could do nothing to save the young man, evacuated the hiker’s body using a helicopter.
