The CFDT-Santé-Sociaux mobilized in Paris to demand wage increases in private clinics and nursing homes, on the sidelines of today’s mobilization

In Paris, the CFDT-Santé-Sociaux has been organizing an action, since mid-morning, to demand wage increases in private clinics and nursing homes. The ceditists had programmed this initiative before the announcement of the day of interprofessional action which takes place simultaneously and with which they do not join.

Several dozen CFDT activists criss-crossed the streets of the capital, going, over the hours, to several sites – for example, the headquarters of the Korian group and that of the Federation of Private Hospitalization. Flocked cap with the acronym of his union on the head, Loïc Le Noc explains the reasons for this “road trip” in Paris, in front of the Synerpa entrance (employer’s union representing retirement homes and private home help services): “It is really difficult to make them understand that if they continue to do nothing, tomorrow they will be dead, because there will be no more employees to work in their establishments. »

This is why he and his comrades seek to “weigh in on the negotiation” which is to take place on Wednesday to try to define “new classifications” professions in the sector, with “new pay” at stake. Collective convention “has not moved for twenty years”he said. “At some point, enough is enough. » Loïc Le Noc recalls that among the large private hospitalization companies, there are brands, such as Orpea, some of which are listed on the stock exchange. But the management of these groups tends, according to him, to favor their shareholders.

“The distribution [des bénéfices] is not done fairlycontinues Justine Didier, also an activist from the CFDT-Santé-Sociaux. If that were the case, we wouldn’t have to take to the streets and assert our rights. » This 33-year-old woman, who is accommodation manager » in a retirement home in Aubagne, took the train on Tuesday ” at 6 o’clock “to go to Paris and “to carry a common word” in favor of those “who occupy all these professions of assistance to the person”.

“They give themselves body and soul, with the different crises we have gone through, she points out. Today, recognition on the ground and financial recognition are needed. It has to move on that level. » According to the CFDT-Santé-Sociaux, the salary scale of the branch provides for a remuneration of 1,368 euros gross per month for a hospital service agent after ten years of career.

The union says it has organized at least fifty rallies, in mainland France and Reunion.
