Not only Helene Fischer can see music fans in this country on tour in 2023. US greats and British superstars have also announced their presence.
Whether rockers, Schlager fans or pop fans: in 2023, music fans should get their money’s worth at numerous concerts again. German music celebrities as well as international top acts have already announced their tours for 2023. An overview.
Helene Fischer
Pop star Helene Fischer (38) is going on a big “Rausch Live” tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland next year. There will be 70 dates in total. Once again Fischer is working with the Cirque du Soleil, which will accompany the concerts creatively. It starts on March 21st in Bremen. After stops in Cologne, Hamburg, Dortmund, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Oberhausen, Berlin, Mannheim, Hanover, Vienna, Zurich and Munich, the tour ends in Frankfurt on October 8th.
Sarah Connor
In 2023, Sarah Connor (42) travels through Germany again. On Instagram she euphorically shared the new tour dates with the words: “Whussuuuppp Party People !!!! I want to do it again !!! You too???” The continuation of her “Herz Kraft Werke” tour is the last chance to see her live in this context, writes Connor. The twelve planned dates are from May 12 to September 16, 2023. It starts in Bad Segeberg, on to Pfungstadt and Mönchengladbach. Shows follow in St. Goarshausen, Meersburg, Regensburg, Bietigheim-Bissingen, Müllrose, Neubrandenburg, Berlin and Hockenheim.
Fat bread
In August 2022, Björn Warns (49) aka Björn Beton, Boris Lauterbach (48) aka König Boris and Martin Vandreier (48) aka Doctor Renz announced the dissolution of their band after almost 30 years. “Before we can soon inaugurate our own wax figures at Madame T, we eternal teenagers with ‘almost 50’ prefer to dig our own grave. […] Papa and papa and papa are separating,” they explained. Before that, however, there is a very big farewell. The dates for the farewell tour “Fettes Brot is History” have already been set: It begins on April 5 in Rostock and will take the band under to Bremen, Cologne, Berlin, Munich and on May 6th to Kiel.
Dieter Bohlen
Dieter Bohlen (68) announced his comeback on stage and his farewell at the same time. He goes on tour again with “Dieter Bohlen Live 2023 – The Greatest Comeback of All Time” and is accompanied by “DSDS” juror Pietro Lombardi (30). On his tour of Germany, the former modern-talking star will probably give at least 15 concerts, including on April 16, 2023 in Berlin or on April 25 in Dortmund.
Blink-182
The US band Blink-182 brought their fans a lot of joy in 2022 in several ways. In a bang not only a new world tour was announced, but also a new album. Founding member Tom DeLonge (47), who left the band in 2015, is back with the tour comeback. Germany pay Blink-182 three visits on their tour with over 70 concerts: On September 9th, 2023 they rock the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, after a detour via Scandinavia they then go to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin on September 16th and on September 17th at the Barclays Arena in Hamburg.
Robbie Williams
Robbie Williams (48) will also come to Germany in 2023. As part of his “XXV Tour”, the singer will appear in four German cities in February 2023. It starts on February 1st in Hamburg, on February 5th, 6th and 8th the former Take That star will be a guest in Cologne. On February 15th we will go to Frankfurt, on the 20th and 21st to Berlin and on the 24th to Hamburg. With his album “XXV” and the tour of the same name, Robbie Williams celebrates his 25th anniversary as a solo artist. In 1997 the Brit released his debut album “Life Thru a Lens”. On “XXV” the singer reinterprets his greatest hits in an orchestral guise. Two new songs are also included.
Rammstein and Till Lindemann
Rammstein will go on a stadium tour through Europe again in 2023. The rockers are also drawn back to their homeland of Germany. Accordingly, the band will perform four times in the Munich Olympic Stadium (June 7, 8, 10 and 11, 2023) and three times in the Berlin Olympic Stadium (July 15, 16 and 18, 2023). Rammstein will give a total of 29 concerts on the tour from May 22 to August 5, 2023. Till Lindemann (59) had to postpone his planned solo tour in 2022. The “I hate children” concerts should therefore take place in autumn 2023.
Depeche Mode
It’s been more than six years since the British cult group Depeche Mode released their last studio album “Spirit”. In October 2022, singer Dave Gahan (60) and his bandmate Martin Gore (61) announced a new album entitled “Memento Mori” and an accompanying world tour. For the first time in five years, Gahan and Gore will be back on stage in March 2023. Performances are also planned for Germany – on May 26, 2023 in Leipzig, June 4 and 6 in Düsseldorf, June 20 in Munich, June 29 in Frankfurt and July 7 and 9 in Berlin. Depeche Mode had to cope with a stroke of fate in 2022 when founding member Andrew Fletcher (1961-2022) died in May at the age of just 60.
Harry Styles
Harry Styles (28) has announced the continuation of his “Love On Tour” for 2023. He will be going on a big stadium tour for the first time. Styles will come to the Munich Olympic Stadium on May 17th and 18th, 2023. He will then play in Düsseldorf on June 27th and 28th, in Frankfurt on July 5th and in Vienna on July 8th. In addition, shows are planned in Denmark, Great Britain, France, Poland, Spain and Italy.
Metallica
The legendary metal band Metallica announced a new album in November 2022: The twelve-song work “72 Seasons” will be released on April 14, 2023. The band will also be touring with their new album. The “M72 World Tour” has been announced for 2023/2024 and will include four concerts in Germany. The German shows will take place on Friday, May 26, 2023 and Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion and on Friday, May 24, 2024 and Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Munich’s Olympiastadion.
The Who
For the first time in seven years, British cult rockers The Who are touring Europe. In 2023, concerts in Paris, Barcelona, Florence and Berlin are on the program. The latter is the only Germany stop by Pete Townshend (77), Roger Daltrey (78) and the live band from The Who. The concert in Berlin takes place on June 20, 2023 in the Waldbühne.
The Weeknd
The Canadian singer The Weeknd (32), real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, has announced four shows in Germany for 2023. His After Hours Til Dawn tour, which has already taken him across North America and centered around his albums After Hours and Dawn FM, will now make stops in the UK, Europe and Latin America. The German shows are on July 2nd in Hamburg (Volksparkstadion), July 4th in Düsseldorf (Merkur Spiel-Arena), July 14th in Frankfurt am Main (Deutsche Bank Park) and August 4th in Munich (Olympic Stadium).
