Heimatverein Pliening: The story goes on – Ebersberg

The Plieninger home club will remain. A long search for a new chairman preceded the good news. After the death of founder Stefan Seizl in 2019, the association was temporarily managed by Beate Erhard. A first attempt at a new election failed at the end of May, Beate Erhard was no longer available for personal reasons. Now the members have sat down again and found a solution. Kurt Strehlow and Stefan Jell take on the task as the first and second directors. Isabella Riemer-Gricksch as secretary and founding member Erna Eder as cashier complete the board.

For a while it looked as if the association would have to be wound up, which not only the 60 or so members regretted.

Urgent tasks await the new board. The memorabilia collected so far from the history of the community are stored under precarious conditions in the former Plieninger water house. Dry premises must be found. In addition, a concept is to be drawn up for the use of the space that is available to the club in the old Geltinger school after the conversion and complete renovation.
