It’s a silly feeling: The gas heating is in the basement, it still works, but not forever. The heat pump installers are fully booked for a long time, the neighbor tells us that the new devices are only effective if the whole house is re-insulated. So what to do? Spend tens of thousands of euros now, even take out a loan? Or install a gas heater that runs on expensive biomethane or hydrogen? And that without knowing whether the energy sources really exist? There have been better times. Still, it’s good that they’re over.
