According to experts, certain sports have little influence on the development of testicular cancer. However, extreme competitive sports before puberty can promote the disease, says a urologist.

According to the urologist Frank Sommer, extreme competitive sport before puberty is a risk factor for the development of testicular cancer. “International studies show that boys who do extremely strenuous competitive sport before puberty have an increased risk of testicular cancer, regardless of genetic factors,” said the President of the German Society for Men and Health of the German Press Agency.
