Germans are satisfied with their health system. The majority of them think it has proven itself during the pandemic and that trust in hospitals, doctors and medical care has increased. This feeling is supported by the statistics. In terms of the number of infected, sick and dead, Germany got through the Corona period better than many other countries. But the virus has also uncovered some serious shortcomings, and not just in maintenance. And in view of rising costs and an increasing shortage of skilled workers, one of the great questions of the future is how the system can be maintained at all.
