Thursday evening, as she was returning home, a 20-year-old young woman was attacked while she was in the lobby of her building, in the Compans district of Toulouse. Her attacker appeared and beat her hard to steal her mobile phone. He also tried to sexually assault her, but the intervention of passers-by put him on the run.
His victim, very shocked, filed a complaint and was prescribed five days of ITT. Thanks to CCTV cameras, the departmental security police managed to identify his attacker, a 16-year-old already known to their services. On Saturday, the investigators went to arrest him at his home, in a peripheral town of the Pink City. And they found his victim’s cell phone at his home.
He was brought to court on Monday morning, which opened a judicial investigation. In view of the violent circumstances of the attack, the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office requested that he be remanded in custody at the Lavaur establishment for minors.
