He swims 200 meters to try to escape the police

He was still in the premises of the Redon gendarmerie this Sunday morning. A man was at the heart of an eventful arrest during the night from Friday to Saturday in Ille-et-Vilaine, reports the Scout of Châteaubriant.

Wanted for several weeks by the police, the man tried to evade the gendarmes who had just located him in the town center of Redon. Pursued, he then decided to jump into the Vilaine, in the middle of the night.

The fugitive, who threw himself into the water from a bridge, swam up the river for around 200 meters, before being arrested by the military, helped by several firefighters who pulled him out of the water .

According to the newspaper West Francethe suspect must be heard in the context of several cases.
