Haute-Vienne, Corrèze, Creuse… 10 departments placed on orange vigilance for violent storms

Lifted Tuesday evening, orange vigilance is back in part of France this Wednesday morning. Météo-France unveils, in its 10:10 am bulletin, a list of ten departments concerned by a risk of violent storms. Lot-et-Garonne, Dordogne, Charente, Haute-Vienne, Corrèze, Creuse, Indre, Cher, Nièvre and Yonne are concerned.Meteo-France screenshot

Towards an expanded list?

Météo-France evokes “an extension of orange vigilance and very likely on the 4 p.m. map for departments further east for thunderstorms continuing during the following night (from Wednesday to Thursday, editor’s note)”.

Floods, power cuts, evacuations… Since then, storms have done great damage in France.
