Even until his colonoscopy, Harrison Ford is haunted by the legendary “Indiana Jones” film music. The star now revealed this.

Screen legend Harrison Ford (81) cannot escape his own cinema history. In a detailed portrait of the US industry magazine “Variety” about the legendary film composer John Williams (92), Ford has now revealed that his iconic “Indiana Jones” film music would follow him “everywhere” – even to a recent colonoscopy.

Harrison Ford: No escape from legendary film music

“I often remind John that his music accompanies me everywhere – literally. When I had my last colonoscopy, it was played over the speakers in the operating room,” said the now 81-year-old literally. Film composer John Williams composed the so-called “Raiders of the Lost Ark” theme for the first “Indiana Jones” part, “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” which was released in 1981. Since then, the iconic figure and his actor Ford have been closely linked to the catchy tune in the cultural consciousness.

Elsewhere, too, Harrison Ford is full of praise for composer Williams in the newly published “Variety” profile. He explains that it was “a pleasure” for him to watch Williams “work with the orchestra.” During the recording sessions, he admires “the remarkable attention” that “every bar of the music receives.”

The now 92-year-old John Williams, who also composed for director legend Alfred Hitchcock (1899-1980), has another chance of being a golden boy at the 96th Academy Awards this weekend. He is nominated in the “Best Film Music” category for his score for the fifth “Indiana Jones” part, “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny”.

In total, Williams has had 54 Oscar nominations and five wins in his long and successful career. This makes the composer the most nominated living filmmaker and is in second place in the all-time nomination rankings. This is led by Walt Disney (1901-1966) himself, who achieved 22 Oscar wins from 59 nominations.
