“Harassment” is the motive of the child who fired the shots

“Harassment” as motive. The 12-year-old child, armed with a revolver-type weapon, who opened fire on Tuesday morning in his school in Vantaa, north of the Finnish capital, Helsinki, acted because he was being harassed, we learned this Wednesday from police sources.

As a reminder, on Tuesday, the child perpetrator of the shooting killed a boy of the same age in his class and seriously injured two other girls – a Finnish citizen and one of dual Finnish and Kosovar nationality – before being arrested. And “the suspect told the police during interrogations that he had been the victim of harassment, which was confirmed by the preliminary investigation,” the police said in a statement, adding that the young person had been transferred to this school at the beginning of the year.

Finland observes a day of mourning this Wednesday following the gun attack perpetrated by a 12-year-old boy at a school, killing one student and seriously injuring two others.
