In Hamburg, the regional court convicted a primary school teacher of sexual abuse. The man confessed to the crimes, but denied sexual arousal.

A former elementary school teacher in Hamburg is charged with sexual misconduct He was sentenced to two years in prison on probation and a three-year partial professional ban for abuse through foot licking. According to a spokesman on Tuesday, the district court in the Hanseatic city considered it proven that the 35-year-old had sexually assaulted a fourth-grader in staged games in 2021.

The accused confessed to the crimes during the trial, but denied sexual arousal. According to the spokesman, the court assessed various aspects in its judgment as mitigating the punishment – including the fact that the defendant spared the victim from having to testify in court through his confession and that the incident was less intense compared to other acts of abuse and therefore caused less damage to the victim burdened.

Elementary school teacher licked the soles of children’s feet

According to the court, there were five acts within a period of three months in which the accused licked the student’s soles. At that time, the man was in charge of afternoon care at a primary school in the Bramfeld district and took on educational tasks in groups. The accused attacks occurred during such representations.

According to the court, the boy only casually mentioned the incident to his parents in 2023, triggering an investigation that led to an indictment and trial. In addition to a two-year suspended sentence, the judges imposed a partial professional ban on the accused at the end of the proceedings that began last week. He is not allowed to have any educational or instructional contact with children or young people for three years.
