Hamas-Israel War: 330 investigations opened in France for anti-Semitic acts and apology for terrorism

The Minister of the Interior indicated on Friday that 1,247 anti-Semitic incidents had been recorded since October 7 in France. In total, 330 investigations have been opened in France by the courts for anti-Semitic acts and advocacy of terrorism, according to the Chancellery.

On BFMTV on Friday, Gérald Darmanin specified that 539 people had been arrested, including 154 foreigners. Among them, 33 are in administrative detention centers, according to him. The perpetrators of anti-Semitic acts are “often very young”, “often minors”, he declared in the Senate on Wednesday during the government questions session.

Around twenty convictions have been handed down to date, according to a source close to the case. On Sunday, more than 182,000 people marched in France, including 105,000 in Paris, during marches against anti-Semitism, according to the authorities.
