Halle, Hanau and Munich: Three crime scenes with a lot in common – Munich

“There was the assassination – and then we were just dropped,” says Christina Feist, survivor of the anti-Semitic attack in Halle in 2019. “If no lessons are learned from it, my son died in vain,” says Armin Kurtovic, whose Son Hamza was shot by a racist in Hanau in 2020. “The bitterness is right,” says Alexander Diepold from the Munich Sinti and Roma counseling center “Madhouse”, who accompanies Gisela Kollmann through the evening. Gisela Kollmann lost her grandson Guiliano to the murderous hate crime at Olympia-Einkaufszentrum (OEZ) in the summer of 2016. That was almost six years ago, but the pain and fear are there every day, says Gisela Kollmann.
