On Tuesday, the police in Haar caught a gang of thieves in the act of loading a stolen pedelec into a van. They were tracked down by a local resident who found the four men’s behavior suspicious. As a result, ten patrol officers immediately approached and found eight more pedelecs that had been deposited for transport in a nearby bicycle shed. Three of the perpetrators were arrested on the spot, a fourth near the crime scene. Through a DNA comparison, the police were also able to prove a break-in into a company building in Ramersdorf two weeks earlier.
