The anniversary episode of “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” has a tearful action drama in store. The first trailer is amazing.

Hardly any episode promised as much excitement as the one that RTL prepared for the 30th anniversary of “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” on May 12 (also on RTL+) has produced. Now the broadcaster released the first trailer for the feature-length edition. The almost one-and-a-half-minute clip promises drama, action and plenty of emotions – and already leaves the viewers excited: Does the “GZSZ” veteran Jo Gerner (Wolfang Bahro, 61) die at the hands of Linostrami (Matthias Unger)?

Warning, spoilers!

After Linostrami pinned the murder of his daughter Miriam (Sara Fuchs, 29) on Jo Gerner, he is on the run and is desperately looking for proof of his innocence. But all the evidence speaks against him. Even his wife Yvonne (Gisa Zach, 47) has doubts, as the trailer shows. Only Katrin (Ulrike Frank, 53) seems to be behind Gerner: “If Jo stands in front of me and says that it wasn’t him – I would believe him!” She says energetically at the beginning of the clip.

The two eventually team up to fake Gerner’s death. While his family carries him to his grave in tears, unaware that he is only in hiding, Gerner, seriously injured, seeks refuge with Leon (Daniel Fehlow, 47) on the Baltic Sea. Linostrami meanwhile threatens Laura and Yvonne. The two eventually find that Gerner was innocent all along and set out to bring down Linostrami. However, Gerner made the same decision. A dramatic chase ensues – complete with loaded weapons and explosions.
