Who actually gives us Germans the right to equate Russian culture with war? Do we no longer know what German culture meant after the world war?
It reads like a bad joke. Tchaikovsky currently has an orchestra in Cardiff removed from the program. You can’t expect the audience to do that at the moment, and you also have a Ukrainian in the ensemble. We haven’t gotten that far in Germany yet, unfortunately, one has to say not yet. Because it wouldn’t really surprise you anymore in view of the obsession with distancing that is currently raging through the country.
