Günter Rohrbach Film Prize 2022 goes to “The Wannsee Conference” – culture

The twelfth Günter Rohrbach Film Prize goes to the ZDF television film “Die Wannseekonferenz”. The award, worth 10,000 euros, which the legendary producer Günter Rohrbach presents every year in cooperation with his native town of Neunkirchen (Saarland), was presented on Friday at a festive gala. Together with the director Matti Geschonneck, the producers Reinhold Elschot, Friederich Oetker and Oliver Berben (Constantin Film) were honored for their drama on the “Final Solution to the Jewish Question”. It was created on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the historic Wannsee Conference, which was held by the National Socialists on January 20, 1942 in a villa on the Großer Wannsee in Berlin.

The Actor Awards went to Marlene Burow, Sabin Tambrea and David Schütter for their performance in Aelrun Goette’s film “In a Land That No Longer Exists”. The Saarland Radio Prize goes to Karoline Herfurth for her overall performance in her film “Wonderful”. Peter Keller and Stefan Sarazin received the Saarland Medien GmbH prize for their screenplay for “Not Quite Kosher – A Divine Comedy”. The Mayor’s Prize goes to costume designer Regina Tiedeken for “In a country that no longer exists”.
