A woman flees from her violent husband, the police are investigating because of stalking. No one takes away his weapons, he continues to train in the rifle club, then he shoots his wife. The case highlights German gun law.

A grave light is still burning in front of Kerstin S.’s house entrance, next to it is a bouquet of white roses and a black bow. A pale yellow, one-story housing development, next door, elementary school students make noise on their way home, remains of police tape flutter across the lawn.
