Grünwald: The district office is also committed to Sep-Ruf-Haus – Munich district

The building authorities are apparently planning to issue a demolition ban and are advising the municipality to ban changes.

The district office is also committed to preserving a house on Grünwald’s Hugo-Junkers-Straße that was built by the well-known architect Sep Ruf. When asked, the press office reported that the owners of the property in question, as the responsible building authority, “wanted to be heard about the intended enactment of an immediately enforceable preventive demolition ban”. Apparently, the lower building authorities are planning to issue such a ban, as suggested by the community. According to the district office, it has also contacted the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments. The municipality was informed “that from our point of view, as a precautionary measure, the possibilities under urban planning law should also be exploited” in order to forestall a possible demolition. This includes, for example, a decision to draw up a development plan with maintenance provisions or a ban on changes.
