If you want to have a cozy movie night with snacks at the weekend, you should take a closer look at the popcorn you bought from Lidl.

In some batches of the products “McEnnedy microwave popcorn sweet, 3×100 g” and “McEnnedy microwave popcorn salted, 3×100 g”, the Spanish manufacturer Liven SA has recalled the products with the following best before dates: November 17th, 2024, November 21st, 2024, November 22nd, 2024, November 23rd .2024 and 15.12.2024.

The pesticide chlorpyrifos was detected in the products above the legal maximum level. Customers should pay attention to the recall of the goods offered by the discounter Lidl and under no circumstances consume the products, according to a press release today.

Lidl has withdrawn the affected batches from sale and the goods can be returned in any branch. The purchase price will be refunded even without a receipt. Other products from the supplier Liven SA and other products of the “McEnnedy” brand are not affected by the recall.
