Millions of people are not trained stylists and still leave the house clothed every day, and even without a degree in philosophy one sometimes asks questions about meaning. And if you’re sitting in a hall in Chemnitz without any outstanding knowledge of statistics and things are being said on stage that you’ve heard on all German talk shows, then you start doing, let’s call it: arithmetic.
