The parliamentary group leader of the Greens, Katrin Göring-Eckardt, defended the decision of the possible traffic light coalitionists to let the epidemic emergency expire on November 25th. Instead, legally secure measures would apply that would be even stricter, she said in the ARD daily topics.
It is necessary to quickly implement and control the new rules that the SPD, Greens and FDP are planning. The Green parliamentary group leader made it clear that she did not want any further vaccination. Nevertheless, she urged to speed up the vaccination campaign. Above all, young people should finally get vaccines. Efforts must also be made to reach those parts of the population who do not necessarily want to or cannot see a family doctor.

The catalog of measures is to be adopted soon
The SPD, the Greens and the FDP intend to anchor a nationwide uniform catalog of measures limited to March 19 in the Infection Protection Act. To this end, the Bundestag discussed changes to the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) on Thursday, which are to be passed in the coming week. The Federal Council will then have to give its approval, probably in a special meeting on November 19.
According to this, the federal states can stipulate, among other things, the mask requirement, distance requirements and access regulations. In the future, the 3G rule will apply nationwide at the workplace. Employees who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 or who have not recovered from an infection must then submit a negative test every day. The Federal Ministry of Labor is currently working on the details. Nationwide there should be test obligations for old people’s and nursing homes or facilities for disabled people.
It is unclear whether there will be uniform nationwide regulation of who the test obligations apply to and how often tests must be carried out. Some countries currently have unvaccinated caregivers tested on a daily basis. The SPD, Greens and FDP want to reintroduce the free citizen tests, as the acting Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) advocates. His ministry has adjusted the test regulation. It should come into force next week.
