A green mamba is currently the news topic in parts of the Netherlands. The police are looking for such a dangerous poisonous snake in the south of the country: The “extremely poisonous” green mamba escaped from its owner in Tilburg, as the police announced on Tuesday. Residents were asked to stay in their homes and under no circumstances try to catch the two-meter-long reptile.

Green mamba is not aggressive, but its bite is dangerous

The police published a wanted poster with a photo of the escaped green mamba and a warning that the snake was “very dangerous” and highly poisonous. In the event of a bite, immediate medical attention is required.

At the same time, it was said that the animal “does not seek confrontation” and has a preference for dark and warm places: “If she finds that, she will behave very passively.”
